PUBLIC HOLIDAY FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST

Gold Coast Council has officially confirmed that the Show holiday, which was due to go ahead on August 28, has now been moved to Friday August 14 giving Gold Coasters a long weekend.

That’s in line with the Show holiday for the Ekka, despite the show not going ahead.

It is now to be known as the People’s Long Weekend and the Centre will trade on Friday 14th to Sunday trading hours:

ALDI 9AM – 6PM
COLES 9AM – 6PM
BEST & LESS 10AM – 4PM
CHEMIST WAREHOUSE 8AM – 5:30PM
SPECIALTY SHOPS 10AM – 4:00PM


FREE BREAST SCREENING IN SEPTEMBER

The BreastScreen Queensland mobile unit will be at Pimpama City Shopping Centre from 31 August until 10 September 2020 offering free breast cancer screening to women, without current breast cancer symptoms.

Women aged 50 – 74 are strongly encouraged to attend, with women 40+ eligible to attend.

PIMPAMA WOMAN CELEBRATES $50,000 INSTANT SCRATCH-IT WIN

A Pimpama woman is over the moon after winning $50,000 on a $4 Line ‘Em Up Instant Scratch-Its ticket purchased at Pimpama Lotto & News at Pimpama City Shopping Centre.

The young woman plans to buy a new car, fulfil some long-held dreams and support her family with the winnings.

Pimpama Lotto & News manager Donna Norton said it was the time first the store had sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket, and it was great to see the prize go to a local and regular customer.
